Outstanding events
We provide everything you need for a better sort of event that gets people talking for some time to come.
Our experience of designing, planning and facilitating face to face and digital events makes us uniquely placed to meet your specific purpose, whether that’s shared learning, stakeholder engagement, policymaking, problem-solving or research dissemination.
We help with the entire life cycle of an event – from creative ideas to logistics and administration, from facilitation to evaluation.
We use our understanding of how to build shared purpose, trust and psychological safety between participants to create events that fit around people, not the other way round.
Our principles
Underpinning each event are five core principles for success:
- Clear purpose that is directly relevant to the audience – working closely with our clients to identify their priority purpose and audience.
- Style that is engaging and inclusive – using a warm, conversational style, avoiding abstract discussions, and maximising input from a range of roles .
- Combining different ways to learn and contribute – combining interactive digital events, surveys, pre-recorded videos, and blogs to maximise learning and insight.
- Producing resources that will last – we create a set of outputs that can be shared and used long after the event is over.
- Respecting participants’ time – our events deliver great outcomes in an efficient way.

Face to face events
Our events are bespoke to the organisations we work with, but these give a flavour of the types of event we can offer:
- Learning event series: these usually comprise a mixture of face-to-face and digital events, such as the series of events we ran to spread learning and good practice from the Healthy New Towns programme.
- Away days: including designing an organisation away day for the Ethical Tea Partnership to reflect on an emerging new strategy.
- Lunch (or breakfast) and learn events: these include our popular Fresh Conversations or our breakfast event exploring multiple long term conditions with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity.
Digital events
We put people at the heart of our digital events. We use a range of online tools to support collaboration and engagement.
From workshops to webinars, our digital events include:
- Interactive digital conference with NHS England: designing and running a week-long interactive digital conference that explored cases of widespread, lasting change in healthcare and how we can learn from them.
- Stakeholder engagement with the British Red Cross: running a series of digital events and surveys to engage a range of different groups to support the development of reports about community connections, social prescribing and loneliness.
What our clients say
“Kaleidoscope worked with us to deliver a highly important digital event to more than 1,000 people. Within a short timescale they used their expertise in digital event management and facilitation to plan and deliver a successful, high quality event.”
Oliver Dye, Senior Policy Advisor, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
“When the citizens’ assembly had to be moved from in-person to online sessions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team made sure the process went as smoothly as possible and helped us to create new online sessions that were inclusive, accessible and meaningful.”
Julien Danero Iglesias, Head of Chief Executive Office, London Borough of Camden
“Kaleidoscope have been instrumental in helping the British Red Cross and Co-op Partnership drive forward the tackling loneliness agenda. Time and again, they have helped us convene voluntary, private and public sector organisations and delivered dynamic – and useful – events. Despite often focussing on complex issues their workshops have helped us arrive at authentic solutions and a tangible action plan.”
Olivia Field, Policy and Engagement Manager (Loneliness and Social Isolation), British Red Cross
