Bringing together national stakeholders
We supported Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity to run a national stakeholder event on multiple long term conditions and place following the launch of a major report.
The challenge
Following the publication of their report focusing on multiple long terms conditions and urban health, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity wanted to share their research with a range of national stakeholders for whom it could have direct relevance and implications for their work. The event needed to help shape the charity’s work on multiple long term conditions and highlight their role as a legitimate voice on national policy issues.
Our approach
Kaleidoscope designed and ran a breakfast learning event with over twenty attendees in July 2018. As part of the design process, Kaleidoscope developed an online survey to gain insight into participants’ work with multiple long term conditions and their particular areas of interest. This helped participants feel involved in the event and allowed us develop a session that would be of interest to all. Following the event, Kaleidoscope produced an informative write-up of discussions and learning from the morning.
Results
The event was a success with 100% of participants reporting that they would recommend the event to a colleague. In particular, participants fed back that they felt it was collaborative and appreciated the relevant and timely information provided.
Kaleidoscope facilitated a small, national stakeholder event for us. I’m so glad we chose to work with them. They achieved what might normally have taken a day in just a couple of hours. They have a very easy style, backed up by genuine substance.
